The Roosevelt Corollary to the Monroe doctrine of 1904 states, “It is not true that the United States feels any land hunger… as regards to the other nations of the western Hemisphere save such as are for their welfare. All this country desires is to see the neighboring countries Stable, Orderly, and prosperous.” the united states just wanted to better its self along with the other nations around it that were under it, they had no means to be controlling or to take the land for themselves, they wanted to better the western hemisphere. This show that the United States were not imperialistic just because they wanted to expand their territory of have a higher power in the world, but that they wanted to better themselves as a country and better every country annex by them.
