In this instance most organizations are therefore supported by the operation function, marketing and the financial function. It is imperative that these major functions must interact to achieve the goals of the organization, each one their own cannot function effective to achieve the desired end produce, marketing is not able to meet the needs of its customers if they do not understand what the operation depart can produce as well as finance is unable to forecast the capital investment if they do not understand the needs and concept of the operation.
The question has been asked as to which function is the most important within an organization such as the banking sector, some may say it is marketing other may say sales but to me it is the operating function that is most important.
