We must be encouraged to persevere in our faith and in life. This means we need to live Godly lives; proclaiming God’s word to our friends, honoring our mothers and fathers, living as good citizens and remaining pure until marriage, just to name a few. The author explains that he doesn’t want us as Christians to abandon or doubt our Christian faith just because of issues we may be dealing with in our community or school. 1. The Epistles: certain books of the Bible can be referred to as an “Epistle”; thus simply meaning that it was letters written to various churches or individuals. For example, 1 Peter mentions that it was Peter’s letter written down by Silvanus.(1 Peter 5:12).
2. Holiness: holiness can also be described as overall “perfection”. As God is completely absent from any form of sin, He is therefore seen as high above any other and the absolute Holy one. In 1 Peter 1:13-16, the author discusses being Holy as God is Holy.
3. Hope: hope is essential to us as Christians, we must speak out about our hope without shame of condemnation. As believers, we are called to answer for that hope that is within us to any who may ask (1 Peter
