The options have are very limited and they can’t change that. For most girls, their only option is to get married to a spouse, so they can provide for them. According to UNICEF, “Each year, 15 million girls are married before the age of 18. That is 28 girls every minute. 1 every 2 seconds.” 60% of them have not had a formal education and do not usually become more than mothers and housewives. When married at a young age, girls are taken out of school to perform their marital duties which include maintaining a home and raising children. They never return, and as they are viewed as an adult in society's eyes, they face stress. Several studies have demonstrated that low levels of education and poor skill acquisition dampers economic growth, which slows down poverty reduction. According to UNICEF, more than 3 billion people which is nearly half the world lives in poverty and 1.3 live in extreme poverty. More than 805 million of those people live in hunger. “A 63-country study by the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) found that more productive farming as a result of female education accounted for 43 percent of the decline in malnutrition achieved between 1970 and 1995.” Education reduces poverty and enables people to work. Opportunities are more accessible to educated people than others. When looking for a job people with a higher education level are more sought out. So it’s important if you want a good stable job to be educated. “An extra year of primary education for girls boost their future earnings by 15%, a figure that only increases with the level of education.” (Girls Not Brides,2017) That’s why no one should be deprived of having the chance to get an education. According to a study by Plan International, “Failing to offer girls the same educational opportunity as boys costs developing countries $92 billion each year.”Countries starting there's not enough money in their funds to support women education are actually missing out. They may not have the funds, but there are many ways to get an education
