Growing up, I always had an interest in both science and math. I didn’t fit the conventional standards of what being a “girl’ was. When I was younger, I had peculiar infatuation with ships and what kept these colossal vessels from capsizing and throwing its passengers over board. Every weekend my mother would drive through the marina and I would always beg her to stop. Bargaining to eat my vegetables if she would only stop for a few minutes. It has shown me the broader applications of the skills I’ve already developed. We are currently working on electrical circuits, and are soon to start coding. The exposure to electrical engineering grants me the ability to implement the learned skills if I were to take said class in USNA. It would build on the skills already present. Thus allowing me to progress at a quick and efficient pace. Bridge building reinforces the ability to cooperate and allow for communication between team members. It shows a student to persevere through the tough times and try again. In the end, life is all about trial and
