Many kids tend to be very dishonest if they actually have a chance to use a phone at a time where it is not appropriate. A example of this, is cheating on big tests; if they have been cheating like this for a long time, it is harder for the teacher to know how much the student actually knows. Another reason is that the students might be texting another student in that class to see what answer they got on a very important worksheet that they are supposed to do independently. Dishonesty is already very common in the lives of teenagers anyways, lets not give them another reason to be that way. Dishonesty is a bad habit to form, and cell phones allow students to be dishonest continuously throughout their entire daily routines.
Few individuals think that using cell phones are acceptable in class. Phones are a very good way of finding information very easily in a fast time. Phones are also a great way to communicate with the teacher and other students, if the student is shy and does not have the social skills to speak aloud. There is also a chance that the student will be using his or her phone for something other than school work or school related activities. Not allowing students to have their phones will eliminate that problem.
In conclusion, students should not be allowed to have and use their cell phones in class because of inequality, distractions, and dishonesty. Think about the people that have trouble with staying focus and get distracted easily before thinking selfishly about using a cell phone in
