A four day school week is a recently new concept that many schools are instituting. Though there are some down sides to converting to a four day week, there are many up sides to it as well. A four day school week would institute better time management, school finances and better attendance. A four day school week would institute, by far, superior time management. Introducing four day school week would take away however, many hours needed for a school year, unless days are added. That is fixable however, with instead of dismissing school at 3:15 or 3:20, school will be dismissed at a later hour like 3:45. Additionally, teachers will be better equipped for the lessons to come. As a teachers get an extra day for planning, as Saturday comes they have already planned next weeks lesson. there for, giving them more time to spend with family or friends. Moreover, with a four day week, the school will see a change in finances. The electric bill will decrease emencly as the year pass’s by. In fact taxpayers pay roughly or more than 6 million paying for schools electric bills. That’s solemly electricity alone, not including food, utensils, and other nesesary items. Schools are regularly using tremedus amounts of water and electricity. With all the money the school will save, they could be repairing …show more content…
Rather then having five days in a week there will only be only four days in a school week, which gives kids more motivation to attend. The school days will be shorter and the week will go much faster. The school day may be longer but it gives more class time and kids will not fall behind as easily. Furthermore, the attendance will improve for an extra day gives time to schuedle appointments, and more time to run erens. As the year passes by staff and parents should try to monuver and seuldlue appointments and other erens on Friday. Of course, many things cant be helped, intututing a four day week will however
