“Murmur,” the things yelled as it grabbed me again before I could reach the woods. “It was a dream. You are safe and away from them.”
I went to hit the man again when I finally realized who I was about to hit. Allen’s nose was bloody, It still pouring down his face. My eyes widened as I looked at him. He smiled, blood getting on his teeth.
“There you are. I thought I had lost you in your nightmare.” Allen said. I pointed to his nose. He let go of me with one hand and touched his face. “Well at least we know you have a solid punch. Come on and let us get the campfire and you can help me clean myself up.” …show more content…
Orchid was there, waiting by the fire. Her scarf was still on but as soon as she saw Allen’s bloody nose she pulled it off and ran up to him. She held it up and put it on his nose. That is when I noticed, in the bright firelight, the mark.
I froze as I stared at her neck as Allen tried to calm Orchid down. “Murmur just had a nightmare. I tried to console her when I probably shouldn’t
