These academic articles also had to undergo rigorous peer-reviewing to be published by significant journals. These factors determine and lead to substantial variances in the two genre’s audience and communication methods.
Cardillo’s popular media source also contrasts the academic articles in how her writing is arranged and structured. The academic articles often used very clear outlining, with headers and bold fonts to indicate their main ideas and organization. These articles provide examples, evidence, studies, other citations, and results, all under concisely defined
