A woman with the name of Hester Prynne was charged with adultery. She has been questioned to reveal the name of the mystery man, she has denied to answer. Since she hasn't confess, the authorities have had her to stand on the scaffold for three hours, as well as have a Scarlet Letter imprinted on her chest. Authorities are hoping that public humiliation will help her to confess. After this she has still refused to tell the town fathers, which are: Governor Bellingham, Reverend Wilson, and Reverend Dimmesdale. The young minister Dimmesdale had to interrogate Hester. She continues to refuse to tell anyone, but after her refusing, Dimmesdale does not interrogate her any more. After the interrogation
