Even in 2004, scientists published an article explaining that they believe climate change to be caused by an increase in the sun’s activity stating, “The data suggests that changing solar activity is influencing in some way the global climate causing the world to get warmer.” There are various theories about climate change claiming either that it is entirely false or that the cause is something other than human activity. The Paris Agreement was signed in April 2016 by 175 world leaders agreeing to all strive to stop the constant rise of global temperatures. Al Gore said, “The Paris Agreement exceeded the upper range of my expectations. Does it go far enough? No, of course not. Can it be improved? Yes, it’s designed to be constantly improved and that’s what I’m focused on now.” This progress can be partially accredited to Al Gore and the campaigns he has started. Al Gore has not stopped climate change or brought the global temperature back down, but he has certainly been an imperative part of the efforts to end the crisis. Ultimately, the climate crisis has made progress toward improvement with the help of Al Gore. He has made efforts over the past few decades by creating campaigns, uniting nations, and bringing this problem to public attention. These courageous acts have greatly benefited and will continue to benefit our country and our entire world. The future of our environment is certainly more hopeful because of the efforts of Al
