The doctors may also decide to conduct tests to measure their memory, attention and their language skills. These test results can help the doctors know if there is are other possible contributors to the patient developing this disease. The time frame for the patient from the time they are diagnosed with the disease to the time of death is as little as four years to the max of about ten years. Every patient is different, some patient’s cases of the disease are more aggressive than other patients. Doctors can prescribe different types of medication to the patient to help them control the disease to an extent. This will give the patient a little less stress on themselves so they can put more time into living their lives and not have to worry as much about the disease. Researchers are exploring new ways to diagnose Alzheimer`s disease sooner and more accurately. There are studies that are focusing on the changes in a person’s memory or their language. There are also tests that focus on the changes in the patients’ blood, spinal cord fluid and other scans that can be done to detect Alzheimer`s sooner than the symptoms
