A car owner in the US has a class action against the car maker Daimler launched for alleged fraud in emission levels. For certain diesel models of the emission of nitrogen oxide (NOx) exceeds the legal requirements in the US at temperatures below ten degrees Celsius to 65-fold, according to the application filed in a court in Illinois on Thursday.
The group accused both violations of US environmental laws and mislead consumers when buying a car. Daimler firmly denies the allegations. "We consider the action to be unfounded," said a spokeswoman on request. The company will review the documents and to defend themselves.
