“A Raisin in the Sun” is about a family that doesn’t have a lot of money and wants to move into an all white community after they received money from their insurance. Mr. Linder, the neighborhood coordinator, tells them that they are not wanted in the neighborhood they want to move into. Walter decides that they should continue to make their move and he tell Mr. Linder “ And we have decided to move into our house because my father - my father - he earned it for us brick by brick” (Hanberry 148). When Walter feels Mr. Linder is treating his family with injustice he decides he is going to defend them. By Walter defending his family this shows Mr. Linder that he should not treat them this way and they should be just as equal as any other family in the
