Texting and driving could cost you your life, or someone else’s. The Public Service Announcement (PSA) “ Don't Text and Drive PSA” shows a car full of teenagers listening to music and chatting, but the driver gets a text from her mom asking when she will be home, instead of waiting until the car stopped, the driver proceeded to text her mother back. While the driver is texting back her mother, she swerves into a lane with another car. The other car had a mom with her three kids in the car as well. At the end of the video the two cars collide, and it is assumed that everyone in the crash was killed. In the PSA “Don't Text and Drive PSA” by Tony Gentry, produced by TranterGrey Media, the pathos exceeds the opposing ethos and logos because the video is very emotional, rather than factual or credible. Tony Gentry is the maker of the video “Don't Text and Drive PSA”, his logos are not as apparent as the pathos, but he does produce other videos about the dangers of driving. Tony Gentry portrays himself as a man who is passionate about keeping people safe on the road. Gentry makes PSA videos to prove his passion. Tony Gentry does not have a lot of information about himself online or on his YouTube channel. Tony Gentry is a person who makes YouTube videos about texting and driving, and drinking and driving. Something known for a fact about him is that he is passionate about teaching people the dangers of texting and driving. However, the PSA was produced by TranterGrey Media, who does have a good ethos appeal. TranterGrey Media has a big brand that produces videos and makes products for consumers to buy.
