A majority of people believe that ancient creation myths are weird and don’t tell us anything about real history of life, but I don’t. Personally, I think ancient creation myths basically created our life stories and without them we wouldn’t have anything to back up our history. Creation myths represent natural occurrences in the world and without the similarities creation myths wouldn’t be important. The Egyptian, Babylonian, and Hebrew creation myths symbolize real events that have happened that make up our life history and it’s incredible.

The Egyptian and Babylonian creation myths aren’t emphasized as much as the Hebrew creation myth today because of the differences they have. The Hebrew creation myth is shown through the Bible0, which we were taught is the words of our God and that is what we should follow. Everyone has the choice to not believe in the Hebrew creation myth, but they choice to because without it we wouldn’t have history or understand how the world was composed. Each creation myth is different and all contribute to part of our history.
The Egyptian creation myth strikes me as similar to the Hebrew myth more than the Babylonian myth. “Out of the swirling waters rose Autum; he created himself using his thoughts and the sheer force of his will” (Egyptian Creation Epic 1:2). The Egyptian creation story directly tells us that their god created himself from powers that we could never understand, which is like the Hebrew story. Their God was so powerful that he created man from his tears of joys from finding his kids. That shows me that the Egyptians had one powerful God if he could create man just from his
