The page used to support this statement is the page of the two lionesses, Noor and Safa, inside the mansion, preparing to meet one of the antagonists, Fajer the black bear. This page has two panels with the gutter as the bear. The entire page is very dark in color, only containing a little bit of light from the holes in the walls to illuminate the bear, partially revealing him from the shadows to both Noor and Safa. This is an artistic style by Niko Henrichon. Henrichon is an artist who is working with dark colors. It is difficult to draw a figure only using black because the art would be flat and dull. In this page, the bear identifies himself as Fajer and give information to the lionesses to assert fear by giving indirect threats to scare the lionesses. Fajer said that “RASHID WASN’T A PRISONER, HE WAS A PET.” The word pet is bolded in his dialogue to show the change in tone of Fajer when he said the word pet. It also demotes Rashid’s character to enhance his own to prove that he is dominant by saying that he “MAY HAVE ACCIDENTALLY EATEN A FEW OF HIS MEALS.” When Fajer was saying that, he indirectly showed his dominance to the reader and the lionesses by stating that Rashid was nothing more than a pet who cannot protect his own meals from him. Then Fajer stated directly “I’M THE MAN OF THE HOUSE NOW” to engrave into Noor and Safa’s minds that he is the alpha amongst them
