Anne Frank was a Jewish girl born June 12, 1929. She grew up during the Holocaust and had to go into hiding in 1943. As through her time in hiding, she kept a diary, noting down everything she did and day by day events. In 1944, Anne Frank and her family were found in hiding and sent to the concentration camps. Anne died in the concentration camps, but if she would have survived a few more days she could have survived the Holocaust. Once her father was set free from his camp, he went straight to the secret annex they were hiding in. As he found Miep Gies, a woman who helped the Frank's in hiding, she handed him Anne's diary. One quote from the diary that stood out was," In spite of everything, I still believe people are really good at heart."

One quote that Anne says that can emphasize this is," I've gained some insight into human nature since I came here, which is good, but I've had enough for the present." Anne knew that the Nazis had a different belief from everyone which was their job. The Nazis only did what Hitler told them to do. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, as you see the Nazis despise the Jews, but they are still decent people. They are doing good for their country, but horrible for the world. Anne's childhood was to prepare her for the time she would go into hiding and to the time she would come out of hiding. As a Jew, growing up, she knew Germany did not like Jews and that is why she moved to Holland, but moving to Holland did not even the criticism.
