Although the Mongols were a bloody tribe, they were an empire with a couple of positives in them than you think. They are an empire that would help out with things to improve and help out in the environment. Overall, the Mongols show more cultural exchange because of the type of thing the Mongol Empire would do to help out with the environment. One example, they helped out with the Chinese Silk Road. Another example is that they brought in the religions together by showing how Mongke felt by setting a conference. My first reason for what makes me think that the Mongols made more cultural exchange is that they helped improve the environment along the Silk Road by adding in communication and transportation. My evidence is shown saying When one of the Great Khan s messengers sets out along any of these roads, he has only to go twenty-five miles and there he finds a posting station, which in their language is called a yam. In this quote explains that on each journey the messenger goes on they have a posting station to go to. Another quote that explains what they have at the posting station is said in Document 8 saying, “And at each of these posts the messengers find three or four hundred horses in readiness awaiting their command,” They have these horses so they would have a fresh horse every 25 miles for faster transportation to the next destination.For my second reason, I use my source in Document 3. For example, Mongke Khan sent out an invention to multiple religions known as Christians, Muslims, and Tuins also known as Buddhist. He invites them in for a conference to show that his law is the best and his literature and that his books are the truest. Which explains why he held a conference so each religion could tell him the truth to see if they really are the truest. In the document it says, “He therefore wishes you all to meet together and hold a conference and each one is to write down what he says so that he can know the truth.” He does this because he wants to know if he is the best lawmaker and writer. And he couldn't have known that without other people's opinions. In the document it is also said that the following day that they have come to the conclusion that there is but one god that they live and die towards by having an upright heart.
