In the novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding, the idea that humans are naturally good is displayed through the characters Simon and Jack, as well as the charity worker Misha Collins. Simon selflessly helps others for no other reason except for wanting to. Jack's way, though it may seem selfish, is just his way of showing that he cares for the boys but wants to do it in his own way. Misha uses his famous status to educate others and to get them to help people who are in need, which is his way of showing humans are good. People allow their goodness to show when actions are performed and decisions are made.
