Argumentative Essay On William Shakespeare

“To be or not to be-that is the question” is the beginning line from a famous soliloquy in the play Hamlet, written by none other than Shakespeare. Some say that when said that line, he was considering the big questions of life and death, while others think that Hamlet was really just thinking about his father's death and killing his uncle. I think by now we can all agree that there is a lot of controversy surrounding Shakespeare and his works. One that is very widely discussed is the idea that Shakespeare might not be the writer of the works published under his name and that he might not have been a writer at all. There are many scholars, actors, and even other writers who have called Shakespeare a fraud and have attempted to give credit to noblemen like Edward DeVere and other writers such as Christopher Marlowe. I have looked into this and I concluded that Shakespeare is the true author of the works accredited to his name, because his name has always been on his works, he worked with other writers, and he did have education.

We have documented evidence that Shakespeare had his name on all of works, which discourages the idea that any one else could have written them. He had also created works such as Titus Andronicus as collaborations with other writers, so other people help us prove our point. Shakespeare may not have had an education an Oxford, but he had an education at a grammar school that focused on the things that he would have needed in order to be a writer.
