Arguments Against Gun Control

The debate of gun control has been circulating throughout the government. It has become an issue because of the recent shootings occurring in public areas. People feel that there should be a tougher regulation of how and who can buy guns. However, there are others who believe that if gun control became more strict it would cause more problems and it could infringe on their right to bear arms. No matter the outcome of the issue, there will be repercussions that will be good and bad. A major point of pro-gun control argues that if there is more restrictions on guns, then it will reduce gun violence in public environments. Also, some believe it could lost the rate of suicides and accidental deaths. People suggest that more gun control laws will reduce all deaths involving guns. This amendment is to protect our right to own guns. If gun control gets stricter, it could prevent people from protecting themselves from enemies. Similarity, even if gun ownership is restricted, it doesn’t mean suicide rates will lower. People will find other ways to kill themselves, so taking away guns won’t solve much. Also, not many people are killed by guns in reality. People are more likely to die of diseases, tumors, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, and traffic accidents. The United States somewhat exaggerates how many people die from firearms. Moreover, gun control laws will not stop people from obtaining guns. There’s nothing stopping people from selling and buying guns from the black market. Creating more gun control laws can create more harm than good. I believe that people should be allowed to own guns, but be restricted from have a certain type of make. In my opinion if gun control laws are enacted it should start out as small because they shouldn’t overwhelm
