Around 16,459 people were murdered in 2016, and roughly 73% were killed using a firearm of some kind. If there were stricter laws around firearms (noun) it is likely that most of these deaths could have been prevented. However there are many arguments against these beliefs from needing a firearm for self defense and hunting, or saying that innocent people should not be punished for the actions of others, and even if gun laws change it is only going to affect law abiding citizens. It is imperative that we as people(noun) do something about gun control. For the most part people who own guns are going to say that they have it for self defense or hunting, but do they really need a machine gun or semi automatic gun for that. First of all using one of those weapons for self defense is a little ridiculous because …show more content…
That seems like a long list of things but it is pretty simple, what who and how is a firearm being sold. Just think about this anyone at anytime can go to either a private property seller, a gun show, or other venues and get a firearm without even having to go through any background checks or anything for that matter. Sellers like this are basically just fuelling the fire giving an easy axcess point for people to commit crimes using a firearm. There basically possibly without even knowing giving criminals maybe everyday a weapon they can use to take a life, but for the normal law abiding citizen if you really do follow the law none of these changes should really effect you besides in the sense of being able to buy a military style
