My reasons are both personal and based in peer reviewed research. Reason one for the recommendation, I am obese, female with a family history of diabetes. I have been told that I am pre-diabetic and have my A1C’s monitored regularly. I have better daily glycemic control if I consume proteins verse carbohydrates.
