There are many techniques to studying at your house. First, eliminate all distractions. This can be achieved by locating a room in which a student enjoys to study in, or it could be a room that is a pleasure to be in. This being said, it is imperative that all electronics are put away, stowed, turned off, put in airplane mode; whatever it takes to keep the student away from the electronics. The worst thing is to “study” with a phone or TV. One seems to be studying for hours, and that is true, however, the amount of information, the quality of information, and the actual time used is minimized. This creates inadequate studying. Electronics create an awful environment to study in. Once one has found an environment to study, it is imperative that one pulls out their books, notes, review sheets, and anything else that could be used to study. We believe that it is best to do the review sheets first. This is because one can run through the sheet and see what they know or do not know. Once this is complete, next, one should look at all the notes associated with the test or quiz. Thoroughly examining and studying every word of the notes and re-learning/reviewing the notes will help one to get a grasp of every topic and idea covered on each test. After this step is complete, then the student can go over the review sheet one more time in order to see if they now can do every problem on the review sheet. Even though a review sheet was given, this does not mean that one should not have done one’s homework. Another trick to home studying is to look over every homework problem that was given over the lessons. One final type is that sometimes, it is more effective to get our “touches” with the content. Whether that means looking over notes, making flashcards, or saying the notes or words out loud, it is also essential that one gets as many touches with the material as possible. Simply, the
