The authentic Mexican restaurants are different from American restaurants even though they have some similarities. An example of a product used is the music in the background you listen to when you are eating your meal. The music at the restaurants are usually based on the culture of the restaurant. It is playing the music so you get exposed to the culture while you eat that culture’s cuisine. An example is if you were going to a Mexican restaurant you will hear Mexican music but if you got to an American restaurant you will hear American music. A similarity between both cultures is often times when people go out to restaurants they go with family and friends. Also, Mexican food is one of my favorites. Listening to soothing music at the restaurant was awesome because I got exposed to Mexican music makinging me understand the culture a little more. The music was soft, meaning it was not rap, it was more like soft pop. I am starting to think I like Mexican music better than American music because of how smooth and flowy the music is. Mexican music now is my favorite type of music. Another thing I enjoyed was the mouthwatering food. At first when Mrs.Germundson(spanish teacher) said we can’t have tacos type foods, I was sad because I always get tacos despite the fact I didn’t know any other type of Mexican food. So when I was looking at the menu an awesome waiter helped me pick out my dish for lunch. He said that the Taquitos Mexicanos is an authentic dish. It ended up being amazing. Also, the cultural decorations were so beautiful from the guitar to the sparkly sombreros. My favorite decoration was the guitar. The guitar was black with skull paintings on it. The guitar was so detailed , yet it was incredible. When I asked the waiter Alberto who was from Mexico he told me that it was a special guitar Mexican people use to play during the Day of Dead to honor their dead ones.
