The first band line-up in 1985 was:
* Ingo Ito: guitars + lead vocals
* George DIN: acoustic guitars + lead vocals
* Robin Loxley: keyboards
They were joined some time later by bass player Susa Lie and live drummer Nick. This five piece band started to do concerts in Berlin and Germany in 1987, starting with a bummer show at a club called "Der geteilte Elektriker" (The Split Electrician).
One of their concerts was visited by Heiko Maile of Camouflage and this started a fruitful connection between Bamboo Industry/Ingo Ito and Camouflage for the next 10 years or so.
George DIN also started some side projects on his own, which made him meet Gabriel Le Mar, with whom he´s still doing records today. But during the following years, DIN frequently joined Bamboo Industry for live concerts and studio work.
The first Bamboo Industry records were the singles "Hypnotized" and "No

    I attended Big Nick & the Gila Monsters at Janey’s Coffee Co. & Bodega, where they performed a blues style of music. Big Nick & the Gila Monsters aren’t a very big band or group that is known worldwide, but they are based out of Phoenix, Arizona and are all very talented individuals. They performed several songs, but never let the audience know what they were playing which was unusual to me because usually they let us know what song they’re playing so we could find out more about it. Although they did not list any titles, as a unit the group performed very well. The group includes Big Nick Riviera who had the blues tone of voice and occasionally accompanied the band with his harmonica, Mike “El Rey” Lewis who played the guitar, Rocky Heyer…

These questions always seem to follow particularly rock musicians because of the topics and the visual impressions they use to express their views of the world. Their impact on the music industry has completely changed how some labels produce their artists, but how did this grunge movement start and why is nirvana the focus of it?…

    In Mushroom at the End of the World, Anna Tsing echoes calls to move away from human exceptionalism and toward a type of anthropology that thinks about non-human beings seriously. The matsutake mushroom, a Japanese delicacy and coveted global fungi, is our guide into the complex entanglement of humans and non-humans in a landscape defined by capitalist ruin. We transverse not only the boundary between nature and culture but also temporal and spatial orders, as the “matsutake forests in Oregon and central Japan are joined in their common dependence on the making of industrial forest ruin” (Tsing 212). I begin with examining the implications of Tsing’s ethnographic work, in the forests on Oregon, as offering us a new set of encounters with…
