She goes to a high school where rich kids go, but doesn’t love it, because she feels like she doesn’t really fit in. Since she doesn’t feel like she fits in, so she asks Jenny which is her mother and David which is her father if they can all go and get an DNA test to prove if she was their daughter or not. So they decide to go to the doctors and see what the results turned out to be, it was positive Bay was their daughter, but she figured out something that their parents kept a secret from her. She found out that her twin sister that “died at birth” was still alive. Bay was hurt that she never got a chance to meet her but also furious at her mom and dad. Bay stormed out of the office and ran, and ran until she was far away from everything. She had to think about things, so she had to get far away. While she was taking a break from everything she came upon these guys beating up her deaf friend Emmet, that she meet at an art show. She recognized the guys, it was Jeff and Angalo the kids who thought that they were better than everyone else. So Bay runs up there and starts punching and screaming at them to get off of Emmet and to never touch a deaf person again. After they ran away Emmett got up and he had a broken arm and a banged up face, Bay insured Emmet that she needed to get him to the hospital, but Emmet refused until he got something out, he said in sign language “You don’t need to help me, I’ve been deaf for as long as I can remember, I get this all the time, bullies, people that don’t know how to handle deaf people, i’m fine I can handle myself and can stick up for myself, I don’t need a hearing person's help”!
“I know, I just didn’t know what to do, I’ve never handled a deaf person getting hurt before and I really just wanted to help in every way I could.” So let’s go to the hospital and figure things out, and see what is wrong with you,
