This renders information easily attainable by health care providers. Health care providers may no longer have to waste their time searching paper records for information (Pritchard, 2015). Therefore, information may easily flow between health care professionals. Nursing informatics allows health care professionals to obtain information quickly and easily locate patterns. Another benefit of nursing informatics is easy storage and retrieval of health records (Pritchard, 2015). Therefore, huge amount of data can be saved in databases, which may be retrieved by simply typing a keyword into a computer. This will also lead to time saving time by eliminating the search for information in piles of charts.
