The untimely killings of Black men stem from simple things such as Traffic stops or simple a disturbance then their being targeted and killed. This horrible pattern dates back to centuries, but growing up I remember hearing about my first unarmed killing of Sean Bell in 2006. Sean Bell’s murder had stuck a big controversy, in fact, he was supposed to get married the next day. Sean Bell was having a normal traditional bachelor party like most people do. Cops accused Bell and his friends of bringing a gun back to the club and threatening people at the club, but several witnesses say that had never been said by Bell or his friends. As Bell and his friends were set to leave the club a team of officers fired 50 shots into the car, killing Sean Bell and wounding his friends, you would think those officers would have been all sent to jail for murder and attempted murder but that wasn’t the case all were found not guilty. Hearing about this case was a chilling one I couldn’t imagine going out on my bachelor night in hopes of having a nice time out to end up shot and killed by police. When you think of shooting 50 bullets into one car it should be looked at as brute force, unnecessary and excessive. Black men are beaten and violated in the most gruesome way by the people whom are sworn to protect and serve. Dating back to the civil rights era when Black Americans had a hose turned on them or having police dogs attack
