In volunteering in the GPSPCA gave me the opportunity to advocate to people of the gentle nature of these animals as well as working with these animals to train them and increase their adaptability in an attempt to get these dogs the forever home that they deserve. It will take much more than this to reverse this ban such as calling and emailing representatives to express our disapproval of the current ban in hopes that they will either vote to repeal this ban introduce a bill that will counteract the ban. Another way to combat this ban is to create a petition in order to attempt to influence the government by proving that the majority of their citizen are against the ban. The best way to reverse the ban is to educate people of the true nature of the pit bull and how if they are raised correctly they can grow up to be the kind, loyal, and child-friendly dogs they are breed to be. Instead of the dangerous, murderous, bloodthirsty animals that society wrongfully claims they are. Pit bulls were once the staple dog of the American family and once heralded as America’s Dogs. Now these gentle dogs need people’s help to save them from extermination within the country that once loved them. Through hard work and dedication,
