Yugoslav People’s Army Troops were sent from Serbia to attack Bosnia and Herzegovina. Local Serbian civilians from Bosnia joined the Army. Serbs eventually go the name of “ethnic cleansing” (Stanton). “More than a dozen paramilitaries and irregular forces attacked” on Bosnia, also (Koff 115). The majority of the perpetrators were Orthodox. The victims were made up of multiple Bosnian citizens. There was a mix of religions and ethnicity, but the majority were either Muslims or Catholics. “More than 200,000 people were murdered, and about 3,500 of those people were children (Koff 115). Several more people were dehumanized by being raped, tortured, confined, or beaten in the Bosnia Genocide. Thousands and thousands of people were buried in mass graves, or just thrown into trenches. Bosnia is currently in a good state. Bosnia and Herzegovina maintain a high life expectancy rate, and their education is high too. Bosnia and Herzegovina is now one of the most frequently visited countries in the world. Bosnia still has three main races, which are Bosnian, Serbs, and Croats. The culture and politics was a major outcome. Bosnia separated into Serb and Muslims autonomous regions. Slobodan Milosevic was arrested in 2001 for being the main person accused for the Bosnia genocide. There is a lot of racism towards Serbs now, because of the fact that citizens of Bosnia feels threatened because they were perpetrators of the genocide.
