They think I am weak and useless.” This quote proves my point because Salva feels lonely now because the group of men treated him badly, now that Uncle Jewiir died. The group of men never did anything to help Salva at all. That proves that he is getting weaker. Salva and Marial have met and become best friends. (Park, 38), Uncle Jewiir said, “I’m sorry Salva.” In this quote, Salva feels lonely, and very sad. This is because Marial got eaten by a lion. Marial is now gone, and Uncle Jewiir is really sorry, so is Salva. We can tell that Marial got eaten by a lion because, in the area that Uncle Jewiir and Salva were, there were a lot of lions hunting for prey.
