It is a theoretical framework for investigating and merging individual opinions and interest, to reach a collective decision. “Rational-choice theory both alerts us to the importance of self-interest as a motivating force in politics and policymaking, and provides a better understanding of the decision-making processes” (Anderson, 2015, p.28). viii. The strengths of this article would be the influencing factors that the author made mention of: the genetic factors, behavioral factors and environmental factors. The factors were precise and to the point in describing how and why the disease has such a drastic impact on the children of today.
