Students that are attending high school are usually excited about graduating and going to college. Not realizing that there is a lot more to being a college student than being a high school student. High school students do not have to pay tuition to attend a high school for the four years, or must pay to receive their diploma. College students need to pay tuition to be able to attend a college for four years. Therefore, the comparison of being a high school student and being a college student are education requirement, scheduling, and expenses. High school student’s education requirement differs from a college students. For high school students, the education requirements are all the same for each student. The high school student can pick the electives the student wants to take, but all the other classes are required to get a high school diploma. Each high school student must take a State test or known as the STAAR. The student must pass this test to be able to go to the next grade level plus pass each of their classes. A high student usually lives with their parents during those four years of high school. On the other hand, a college student usually living in a dorm or an apartment. So, the college student must pay monthly to have somewhere to live while a high school student doesn’t have to pay rent.
