Driving it is something most people do 87% of the American population have their driver’s license. In a recent survey 75% of people think driving in the winter is more dangerous than driving in the summer but they are wrong. According to Forbes magazine over 800 more people are killed in the summer vs winter. There are many reasons to this the main 2 are speeding, andalcohol.

Speeding it is estimated that everyone may speed in their life time during driving even if it’s only for passing a car it’s still speeding. Most speeding accidents don’t occur in the winterdrivers could even be going 20mph and crash especially around curves. So how is it that drivers crash more in the summer? Well people think that the roads in the summer are 100% clear but that’s not true oil from cars builds up in the road so when it does rain the oil seeps out and it’s harder to drive on than ice. Speeding accounts for 30% of accidents study show that 1*% of day accident involve alcohol and 54% of night accidents involve alcohol. …show more content…
Due to weather bars can be closed in winter storms there for its harder to get alcohol. Weekends show the most crashes as well as Labor day and July 4th weekend. In the summer 2 thirds of all people don’t wear seatbelts at night so it is more dangerous especially with the amount of people
