Tope Ajayi (2011) defines a manager as an employee of an organization who is given an authority, power and responsibility for planning, organizing directing and controlling the work of others in order to attain organization at objectives.
A nurse manager, is the head nurse she is responsible for the clinical and administrative functions of particular nursing unit, such as a pediatric floor or an intensive care unit.
