There are many different ways I can confront racism in myself. I can listen to and respect those that claim racism. I need to find out why I feel that way. Was it something that I learned or saw in the movies, television, or within my family? An example of when I had to co nfront racism in myself happened about a little over two years ago. My family and I were in a fast food restaurant chain in a difficult part of town. We were the only non-African Americans in the restaurant and my brother and I were scared because of how they looked and acted.
