You may have mastered the art of cleaning it, but have you mastered the art of keeping it clean? Here are some tips: 1. Don't just clean, organize. One of the best ways to keep your room clean for longer is to get rid of a lot of stuff (or start keeping stuff in a different room), and making sure that everything in your bedroom has a place for it to go. This may be difficult for some. I currently live with my boyfriend and another couple, so I don't have a lot of control over what ends up in here sometimes. But everything has a designated space. Random things that don't belong in the room have a basket in the corner that I empty out when it starts to look cluttered. The point of intense organization of your bedroom is that if everything has a place to go, you'll be less inclined to put it on the floor. This isn't to say that you won't put things on the floor sometimes. This is just to say that if it has a place then you'll be more likely to put it away eventually. 2. Add the little things to your routine. Remember those clothes you put on the floor because you were tired and just wanted to plop into bed? Why not make it part of your morning routine to hang those up, or put them in the laundry, and straighten your bedding? Those two things combined should take roughly less than five minutes. And your room will be cleaner after, and you will have started your day with an accomplishment, however minor. 3. Take five-ten minutes. Every couple of days I notice that even though I've been pretty good at putting everything in its place, somehow my room feels not quite right. That's when I set a timer for about five to ten minutes and use that time to clean as much as possible. That's when I dust and sweep and wipe down

Although the location of my study areas vary, I decided to choose the one where the majority of studying is done which is in my bedroom on the bed. The set up of the area will include surrounding myself with textbooks, two laptaps (one for note taking, the other for research), different colors pens, a notebook, snacks and of course my cell phone. While studying I normally have the television on but its muted. For the purpose of the reaction paper I thought it would be more accurate to have someone observe my actions.…

While I agree with your assessment that the novel is concerned with the imagination and the fantastical and that this differs from Treasure Island which holds a greater sense of realism (however implausible), I disagree with your perspective that Peter and Wendy does not have the conventions of a "boy's book." Specifically, I disagree with your statement that "boy's books" involve characters who go on adventures and come back changed and that this is lacking in the novel. While you are correct, I believe, in saying that these conventions do not apply to Peter, I would argue that Wendy experiences the stereotypical conventions of a "boy's book" but through a feminine perspective. For instance, Wendy goes to the Neverland and experiences the…

Jack Prelutsky's poem, Why Do I Have to Clean My Room, is about a child that believes his bedroom does not need to be cleaned. The child wants to play, instead of cleaning his room. The child’s room is described when he lists the messes in his room and explains why they are not an issue. He expresses that the clutter is not a distraction to him. The narrator questions the necessity of cleanliness because, to him, his room looks fine.…

*Sigh* It's that time of year again and no I'm not talking about the joys of Black History Month. It's February, which means good old Valentines Day is getting ready to rear its ugly commercialized head in every aspect of our lives. From being visually assaulted in the drug store while grabbing tampons, or losing your mind trying to get the latest themed Makeup Collection; Valentines Day can drive you crazy if you aren't crazy in love. For me, this time of year is particularly painful as it was this time last year I was dumped by my EX only a few weeks after I moved to NYC. Not only was a single with no friends, I didn't have the self-love necessary to see the blessing of being alone.…

    Drawing Wendy's Room

Instead of drawing Wendy’s room where Peter Pan had first arrived, it shows her during the end of the book where she is grown up, with her daughter Jane. I thought that Jane would have similar character as Wendy, so most things in Jane’s room, would be things Wendy also would have had in her room when she was her age. Though by doing this through Jane’s room, it more clearly shows Wendy as a mother, (since she had adapted a motherly personality even at a young age). In the picture, it shows her sewing, (with her sewing kit). This represents Wendy as a “motherly figure” (Barrie, 67).…

This form of subjection involves a process where she initially had the power to vocalize her concerns with Christian in the “Playroom”, however, she is so dependant of his love and their connection that she has becomes physically attached to it. This subordination provides Christian with power and domination, to have the capacity to constantly hurt her; especially given that, her very existence relies heavily upon their connection.
