Claim: There is a debate in the nation and different states decide whether or not to use the death penalty. Personally, I think the Death Penalty should be illegal I will be sharing the different methods that are used for the death penalty..In this paper I plan to explain my reasoning why I think the death penalty should be illegal. I will also state a counterclaim.
The first reason is that people have been killed, and later found to be innocent. At least 11 people have been killed (9 in Texas), and later found to be not guilty. After these people were put to death, because the death penalty was enforced, it was later found out that they were innocent.
