Dentistry Goals

Goals are something very near and dear to my heart. When I set a goal I really strive hard to reach that goal and conquer it. Some of my personal goals are hard to reach whereas others are not. My first goal is that I would love to become a pediatric dentist. This is a career field that takes lots of hard work, effort and time. My favorite sporting event that was meaningful to me was this year on March 3. This was the state swimming and diving tournament. This year I was supposed to swim 4 events total which is more than I had had the previous two years. It was an absolutely phenomenal experience due to a couple of factors. Firstly, I was 9 overall in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 53.1. This was a stellar time for me considering my best time before that was a 54. I had swum lights out and accomplished my goal from the beginning of the season. Another reason this sporting event was so meaningful was due to the fact that our 200 medley relay team broke a school record which now puts my name up on the record board and let me tell you that is one of the most magnificent feelings in the world to see your name on a record board. Finally, the reason this tournament meant so much to me was because it was the last time that I would be swimming with my coaches and friends on the team. The bonds and friendships that I had made on the swim team are some that will never be broken and friendships that I will cherish forever. Looking back on it today swimming may be an individual events in some regards but it is a sport that with good leadership, great friendships, and amazing encouragement and make lifetime
