The movie and book are about the same concept but there are some parts of the story that aren't the same. Like when you read the book pony comes home from the lot at 2:00 cock in the morning.he walks through the door and darry starts yelling at him about it. So soda steps in and and darry start so yell at him but pont yells DON´T YELL AT HIM !in the movie darry shoves.but in the book pony gets slaped real hard. Which causes pony to run away to the lot. In the book when they reach the park they walk through the park when the socs come. The movie shows them climb up a jungle jim.
