Good things don’t stay long enough. Johnny is reminding Pony to cherish every moment because he knows that pony has his whole life in front of him, and shouldn’t take it for granite.…

Another difference is the character traits between the book and movie differ, the book is more descriptive with some character traits than the movie. Also in the scene where Minnie left her husband the movie gave a very good visual of how it all happened. Finally, the last difference is, as you read the book you were able to create whatever picture you wanted in your head, you had your own visual for different scenes in the book which is different from the movie because in the movie actors/actresses played the characters so you no longer had a mental picture of what was happening it was just whatever the actor/actress looked like and what they did. Although there are some differences there are many similarities between the book and the movie,”The Help”.…

The next difference from the beginning of the story was when Cherry asked Pony to go with her to buy some popcorn and drinks for the rest as in Johnny, Marcie, and the other two socs which also was a difference because those socs didn’t appear to talk to Cherry and Marcie. Next difference was inside the store to buy snacks and drinks there was happing an argument which wasn’t in the book as well. Third, difference was when Pony and Johnny were leaving to take Johnny to his house and both of them saw Johnny’s parents arguing. There are also many similarities between the book and the movie. Both the book and movie contain the same main ideas in the plot, and have more or less the same storyline.…

In “The Landlady”, Billy Weaver is lured into a seemingly normal bed and breakfast by an old lady who, despite her gentle and unthreatening appearance, wants to kill him. It is a story about how those with cruel intent may take advantage of those who are innocent and naive. Although the book and the movie can be arguably similar if generalized, there are many differences that may change the way a reader/viewer may grasp the concept of the story. Since a movie and book cannot be exactly the same, the film version is bound to have things that differ from the text. One example of how the book develops the development of the story is with the setting.…

It seems an unfair view to expect a movie about a book to be exactly the same down to every single detail. Communities of fans will always find something wrong with a story, for it has “failed” to match expectation. Books are a place where someone can be dragged into the story and forget about everything else for a short while. Movies do the exact same thing, except it is seen as an easier way than books for a lot of people. Ignoring obvious differences (such as the fact that one is in picture form, and the other is in words), movies and books may not be so different after all.…
