The Hispanic culture, is both amusing, and confusing as there are many different aspects to it. The Mexican culture, is what I identify with because both my parents are Mexican. The people of Mexico can be very fun, but can also take things very seriously as well. Throughout my life, I’ve experienced more and more of my culture. At the age I am now, I understand why we do things a certain way, and the reasons behind everything. In my life I’ve experienced coming together and celebrating holidays in a unique way, being very close with family, and having different types of foods.

My family, is always close to each other and sharing personal things with one another. We then use that to help them in a certain way. The way differs every time, and from every person. Family is always first with my culture, we are always there when someone is in need. When my mom was pregnant, and in the hospital, her sisters would come to watch us since she couldn’t. That's just one example of this but there’s many more.
Different types, of foods for different occasions can mean a lot. A lot of the food we eat depends on the occasion. For example if it's a family breakfast, then we might eat menudo. If it's for the holidays, then it's usually tamales, and desserts that everyone makes themselves. If it's a summer day, then we might have a carne asada, which is just like a barbeque. During these it's just having fun, and eating all types of foods. Its amusing how different foods, can mean different things. Every meal always shows so much.
There’s still a lot more to culture other than this. I’m still learning about my culture, as there’s so many different aspects to it. I like my culture for that reason, that it's so unique.
