Groody wrote that Maurin had three main points that he wanted the movement to consist on. The points include, “Round-table discussion, house of hospitality for the practice of the works of mercy and, agronomic universities or farmers and scholars worked together” (167). These points are crucial because of them, both Day and Maurin were able to assist the poor that were over looked by others. Although I am not involved in the things she used to encounter every day, the very first thing I realized and learned after reading about her life story is to never underestimate anyone and everyone. Personally, I think she is the definition of courage. She was probably judged negatively throughout her life. She has defied the odds of a woman at her time bringing a drastic change to the system and condition the poor were living in. Her life has taught me not to judge anyone by the style they live in but by the actions they take.
