Drag Queens are known as a male transvestite, especially a performer who dresses as a woman to entertain the public; a usually homosexual man who dresses as a woman and performs as an entertainer especially to caricature stereotypically vampish women. After studying this group over the last couple of weeks, it became very opaque that being diverse and not of the norm is not in society’s favor.
There are two types of drag queens, such as those who are in the drag industry full time and those who only participate part time. However, they have many similarities. Society would also have to have open minds about other people’s lifestyles, even if it is not of the normal, everyday human being. For something like this to happen, there would have to be changes in how people accept other people and how close minded society is as a whole. There is a positive pathway building within society as time progresses. More and more people are realizing that this is how the younger generations feel and that this is how things should be. Most of the people in the older generations are putting up a fight since they were brought up in a completely different world than modern day teenagers and children are being brought up in. As time goes on, the LGBT community will not be as foreign to others like it is today. Today people are more accepting than they were a few years ago and it will get even better with time. For example, ten years ago most people were afraid to come out of the closet and tell their loved ones how they felt but, in today’s time it is not so strange to be honest to yourself and others about who you are. This change would happen because it is currently happening right now. It will take time for it to become the norm for people to be in Drag and for the LGBT community as a whole to have infinite acceptance. History repeats itself in many ways so, there is no doubt that people enjoying themselves in their lifestyle choices and being happy with who they are would be accepted as time goes
