Over the last couple of years the question on installing condom dispensers remains. Some schools were already proactive and installed these condom dispensers. Many student and faculty members have mixed views on this, but I am all for my school installing them. I don’t see any problem in any school having these, and I feel that the school administrator’s should make this mandatory.
By installing the condom dispensers, it will help lower the amount of unexpected pregnancies. Not only getting pregnant in school looks bad, but it could make someone wonder on the morals of the school. I too was a teen-ager and am currently a college student and having sex is a way of life when old enough. So why not protect ourselves especially in the long run. By educating our children about abstinence when they are young will probably make them question sex as they get older. I don’t mean elementary schools, but in high schools and colleges. It is something that has to be done and eventually this will not be debatable it will become a necessity. The pregnancy rates have gone up during the years. The sad part about it is that it actually rates as young as 15 to 24 years old. Students don’t need to be embarrassed about practicing safe sex by asking for condoms. Condom dispensers should be as available as another necessity he or she may need. The AIDS epidemic will only get worse as well.
