Freitas. She is a Special Education teacher at Chowchilla High, and I have had the privilege of working with her for almost ten years. Mrs. Freitas has taught me to look at education as an opportunity to learn from students and build connections that last a lifetime. When first beginning my journey I had no interest in teaching I just needed a job. I remember feeling out of my element and struggled to connect with the students. I remember sitting in her class and watching her teach and she was mesmerizing. Students opened up to her and wanted to learn, think, and discover in her class.
