On January 28, 1935 music immediately changed forever because one of the most well known music prodigies entered the world on this day. In Tupelo, Mississippi, Elvis Presley was born. He is one of the most well known rock-n-roll artists to ever live. By 1956, Presley had seen it all and done it all. Starting on the radio, he become more and more well known because of his style of rock. After making an appearance on radio, he eventually made his way onto the television screen because everyone wanted to know and meet who Elvis Presley. His television career began during his appearances on CBS’s Stage Show. Another of his first television appearances was The Milton Berle Show on June 5, 1956. His style made him who he was. His voice, looks, dancing, outfits, and attitude cause everyone to fall in love with this Mississippi bread star. Like every other musician, Elvis had his influences. Elvis’s influences made his style so unique because it’s a mix of a few different styles of music including, African-American blues, Christian gospel, and Southern country. Presley sang both hard driving rock, rock and roll dance songs and ballads, laying a commercial foundation upon which other rock musicians would build their careers. That’s the way the music industry works. Elvis was influenced by musicians which wanted him to become a star. His personality affected so many people because people believed he was not a good influence for his young audience. The way the world changed because of him is incredible. People’s living styles and personal style changed because of his style. Everyone wanted to be like him because his style was so different and so unique. Elvis also shaped the America popular culture due to his unique style as well. His legacy will always be a positive one because of they way he impacted the society. His mix of music styles shaped his career and shaped the Rock ’n’ Roll music industry
