Personal Narrative: My First Day Of School

Decent Essays
When I began sixth grade it was a much different year than I thought it would be. My mind changed because of my first day of school, all of the great classes, and all the fun events. Martha Brown can still be a bad school sometimes with important objects breaking and storms delaying fun trips. Now I still think Martha Brown is a great school with amazing teachers, classes ,and other facilities.
My first day of school was kind of scary there were tons of myths of mean bullies, bad lunches and supposedly evil teachers ( most were Mrs.Smith myths). My first day was actually great the teachers were helpful and I didn’t find any bullies at all. I thought this school was huge I kept getting lost when I was trying to go to my classes and I was late to every class. One thing about I learned there aren’t many bullies if you find a bully at Martha Brown you found a very rare occerance .When I went to my lunchroom it was amazing it had two tvs tons of tables where you can sit with all your friends I cound’t belive it on my first day it was amazing!
One thing I love about Martha Brown is all of the great classes and amazing teachers

Now the most fun classes are the side ones like my personal favorite class, gym is my favorite class since there are so many fun things to do like ultimate frisbee or frisball it’s where throw a frisbee to your teammates to try to get a touchdown. Another cool class is health and no it’s not

This personal narrative is going to be about the first day of Middle School and my experiences as a 6th grader. It is going to go after my emotions and other descriptive details of the first day. I still remember how the seat belt felt tightening across my chest as the car got closer to the Middle School. During that time I knew nothing about being in a big school because the biggest school i've been in was yankee ridge. (Which is really small).…

Last year at lunch, I was the only one who did not bring any food to school, while all of the other kids brought Pizza and Rice to school. Many times, I was insulted and publicly shamed for not bringing any food. Right now, it is the first day of school. While life repeats itself, I am hoping for a good day at school, but I never know how things will turn out. I hate school because many kids always look at me as a target to pick on.…

On the first day of school, I remember walking into class and seeing all of the new people in my class. I also remember meeting all of my new teachers. I had no idea how much that I would learn, and I had no idea how much I would struggle to learn the new material. One particular class that I feel that I have learned a lot in is WHAP. WHAP stands for world history AP.…

Last semester was definitely the hardest for me. I have two challenging research papers toward the end of the semester. I find it hard because I did not know what to write about and which assignments I should start on first. I manage to overcome this challenge by narrowing the topics and start on the paper that was closest to deadline. My stress level was at 10 because I skip meals and stayed up all night long to finish my papers.…

As I looked around at my new classmates on my first day of public school, I was in complete shock. All around me I saw students who did not care in the slightest about their education and who saw school as simply a chore instead of an adventure. They slumped down in their chairs, cheated off of each other left and right, rolled their eyes at teachers, and spent each day watching the clock, waiting for the bell to ring that would released from their “prison.” That August morning, I felt like I was in a completely different world: one where I did not belong.…

As I went to my first day of school in a new city I was nervous, I didn't know if I was going to make any new friends, if I was going to fit in. The first day began and I immediately met Randy and Byanca, little did I know at the time that they would be my friends for all of my school career. Time went by and so did the grade levels, I would always struggle with one subject and thrive in another. During my elementary and middle school years I would struggle in language arts and history, but I would thrive in mathematics mainly because I love numbers.…

It was a Thursday night, on my first week of kindergarten. I hadn’t made many friends because I was so use to playing with my sister, that I wasn’t sure if I knew how to make friends. I wasn’t shy when I was around my immediate family, but if you would put me in a room with people that I didn’t know. Well, I wouldn’t say a word. I would be so quiet that I would just sit there and you could forget that I was in the room.…

The moment I stepped foot into Freeburg High School, I knew I was in for a big change. I remember when Smithton took the 8th grade class to the high school for a tour of where we would be going the next four years and as soon as we got there I practically freaked out as to how big of a change it was. Seeing the school on the outside, I thought it would be super difficult to get around because of how large it was, but the inside looked even more complicated. It was also really difficult for me to even start a conversation with most teachers, let alone joining any clubs or sports. Either way, I knew was that if my sisters could get through high school so I could too.…
