One of the most classic and tragic love stories is the famous Romeo and Juliet, written by William Shakespeare. What makes this story so tragic is the way it quickly escalated and ended. People often wonder what caused the play to end the way it did. In my opinion, fate, mentors, and poor planning were some factors that caused Romeo and Juliet death. These factors demonstrate that you should never rush into decisions. Firstly, fate was one of the factors that caused Romeo’s and Juliet’s death because it isn’t just a coincidence how Romeo and Juliet meet. A serving man comes across Romeo and his cousin Benvolio informing them about the party the Capulets are hosting: “My master is the great rich Capulet, and, if you be not of the house of …show more content…
Even though the friar got them married thinking it would stop the family feuds. “For this alliance may so happy prove to turn your households' rancor to pure love.” (2.3. 91-92) it wasn’t a wise decision because the families are in a feud and because they just met a couple of hours ago. When two people decide to get married it is really important for them to get to know one another and have their families support them. Furthermore, poor planning is also a cause in the death of Romeo and Juliet because when Romeo was banished for killing Tybalt “A gentler judgment vanished from his lips: Not body’s death, but body’s banishment.” (3.3.10-11) it led to him not receiving the letter Friar Lawrence wrote him regarding the plan him and Juliet. Romeo not receiving the letter made him unaware of the plan so, when he saw Juliet he thought she was actually dead which lead him to kill himself. Therefore, fate, mentors, and poor planning were some factors that can be held responsible for the deaths of the star crossed lovers. What one should learn from the play Romeo and Juliet is that you should never jump to conclusions without seeing things with your own

He is the problem in this story because he went to a party that was being hosted by the enemy Capulets, he ends up killing Juliet's cousin Tybalt in a fight, and in the end he ends up killing himself. Therefore, this is the reason why I believe Romeo is the one to blame. Romeo is to blame for the death of himself and Juliet because he goes to the enemy's party. Actions shape and define who people are. This is seen in the play although, it is impossible to argue if fate and destiny are something tangible and visible to the eye. However, if it were to exist there would be nothing wrong in saying that it is one’s actions that will then determine fate. While Romeo and Juliet are responsible for their deaths because of their love for each other, fate does play a significant role as well.…
